Music Therapy

Music Therapists use music as a tool in special settings for social, mental and physical well being. They use music improvisation, songs and games to create ‘musical relationships’ which are of benefit and health giving. More information can be found at The British Society for Music Therapy http://www.bamt.org

I have worked as a music therapist since 2001. My focus has been children and young people with special needs and disabilities. I have also run community groups for adults with learning disabilties. My work uses creative, development and psychoanalytic theories. I currently work at a special school in Bristol running a music therapy clinic for The University of the West of England and in private practice in the Bristol and Bath area.
